By: Karen White
The Lost Hours was not my favorite book of Karen White’s but it had some good points. Piper Mills was once one of the best riders in the country and was headed for the Olympics. A terrible accident renders her unable to compete anymore and then she stumbles across some old items that belonged to her grandmother. In search of the meaning of the items, she meets a family on their horse farm and discovers a whole new side to her grandmother.
I enjoyed the walk through the scrapbooks of Piper’s grandmother and the stories of her childhood. Her grandmother and her friends were well written, lovable characters and their story was very interesting. However, Piper and the crew at the horse farm were all really sad and angry and not much fun to read about. It was a fun read, but took me a little longer to get through than most of White’s books.
